We have been getting a lot of calls about mosquitoes in the BCS area lately. KBTX recently posted an article confirming that mosquitoes in Brazos County have tested positive for West Nile Virus. According to the Brazos County Health District Mosquito Surveillance Unit, mosquito samples from a mosquito trap located in the 77845 zip code of College Station have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Brazos County has had mosquito samples test positive for WNV; however, this is first positive sample in 2021.
